Hi all just wanted to let anyone whose interested to know that i have created a boot sector which allows booting from USB device. I would appreciate feedback from those who test it. you can find it here..... http://www.geocities.com/cordata51/Files/Cordata51/BootUSB_Kolibri.zip

USB Booting
the bootsector works perfectly on my gateway laptop where nothing else would boot from the usb port. I recently tried it on two other pc's and when tried it automatically reboots the pc. One of these other pc's only supports FDD emulation for usb booting and works over usb with a floppy disk image installed, the other pc i am unsure about as i have never tried usb booting from it. I am unsure why it automatically reboots these other PC's without attempting to search for files, perhaps its something i am not doing while making the jump into unreal mode that is not showing up on the laptop but for whatever reason doesnt work on the other two pc's. Perhaps i will try to implement the bios function that menuet uses to copy memory to high mem and take out the unreal mode stuff altogether. I am interested in knowing if anyone else has tried the bootsector and if anyone has had any success. JMD

I have a 4GB FlashDisk, should I format it to fat16 or fat32. Since I cannot format it to fat16 'cause windoze doesn't allow me to format it to that format. ;) Is there any other way?

You may format only 2Gb for FAT16. Try to create 2 partition with the help of Partition Magic.

Sooner whole, this wrong FAT16 section, and he can wrong work with some realization of the code. To that- big amount of the place gets lost at большом size кластера on empty final sector.
