Hidnplayr sent me what he thought was the english version of kolibri and when i made the disk and booted it up it was mostly russion and it had major problems like...
The screen being moved severely to the right and left the system basicaly unusable for me..

The absence of documentation is explained by absence of time for translation. You see we also develop the code of operating system and applications. Elementary shortage of human resources.
You have enough for translation of a kernel into the English language compile a kernel, having started build_en.bat (if you are in Windows) in the sources codes of a kernel. Then it is necessary to replace KERNEL.MNT in MENUET.IMG or on Floppy (if you load the system from Floppy).
The applications need to be translated separately, it is more durable procedure.

Well it's like i told hidnplayr , When i boot up kolibri and the system is all done booting, the background (desktop) and icon's and all is jerked over to the right side of the screen, He couldn't figure it out and neither can "I"..?
I really can't do much in the system to correct this and i'm unable to adjust it out with my monitor because if i did my other OS's would be messed up.. :?

You should get source distribution, or just check latest kernel here:
http://kpress.hopa.org.ru/tmp/kernel.7z - unpack and put on kolibri floppy.
Here:
http://heavyiron.narod.ru/kernel.7z you can download sources of the latest revision of kolbri kernel. In archive you will find buid_en.bat. You should run it (also you need put fasm.exe in this folder). It will compile english version of the kernel (kernel.mnt). Put it on your kolibrios floppy

Actually i think i've got that one whooped now,. I tried kolibri again last night and i found out that the highest screen resolution that i can use is 800x600.? Strange though that if i choose to use 1280x1024 the system won't load at all..! Something about a kernal failure..????? :?:

In the blue window of loading press C for choice of usage VRR: 1- to use, 2 - to not use.
The mode 1280*1024 - does not work, now we (programmers) search reasons.
The maximum supported mode depends on amount of memory, which is on your video card.
What video card placed to you computer?
