Video Driver I'm trying to run GridWorks on my laptop. Right now it only runs in 16 color 640 by 480 mode (option 0), This is the latest version of GridWorks. The driver is on a CD, but it's a windows only driver. The hardware is a Dell Inspiron 2600 (Which seems to give people problems no matter which operating system). The driver needed is one for a 830m controller. I don't know if you need the driver or not, but I can post it or mail it to you if you need to take a look, but any help would be appreciated.

AFAIK MenuetOS runs only in VESA modes ( 13h mode and 640X480X16 mode too). You don't need any drivers. BTW What sort of graphic card do you have? As I know, with S3 cards there is a problem.

it's a laptop, Dell Inspiron 2600. Whenever I look up the specs for my video card it just tells me that the controller is "830m" which is supposedly notorious for being a pain in the arse. But like I said, I do have the windows driver on hand if there is any way to port it.
erm... what?
Mario said that on mike.dld's site (http://mikedld.com/) there is a program called: "Enumerate VESA modes"
direct links are:
http://mikedld.com/f/vesa3.7z (in 7-zip file format)
http://mikedld.com/f/vesa3.zip (in a regular zip file)
If you run this program, it will show you the VESA modes your video card supports (it runs on windows and dos AFAIK)
good luck ;)
